We’re a group of volunteers and professionals who fix computers. We’ve been doing it every Saturday from 12-3 for over 11 years. We’ve won national awards, refurbished dozens of computers to give away and fixed over three thousand computer problems.
Our Saturday sessions at Abbeyfield Park House are Pay-As-You-Can and our visiting professional service costs £20/h for individuals, £30/h for organisations after the initial free diagnosis.
We respect your computer and data because we know how valuable it is to you. Our professional technicians have decades of experience and are fully qualified and insured. Volunteer technicians of all levels are welcome because we work together on Saturdays – learning from each other is part of what BitFIXit is all about.
BitFIXit founder Gareth Coleman gave a TEDx talk recently about why he started the project and why it is more important today than ever – you can see it here:
BitFIXit is currently a non-profit making voluntary group, professional services are provided by individuals as sole-traders. Very soon we will be a company limited by guarantee but we are moving towards setting up a workers & customers (multi-stakeholder) coop. Join us! We need technicians of all abilities and admin help too! Leave us a comment, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0114 299 4575.
Our community clinics are held every Saturday from 12-3 at Abbeyfield Park House, Pitsmoor, Sheffield, S4 7AT. Come round the side to the community room with large windows and a door into the park itself.
