We are always eager to welcome new volunteers who want to help us fix computers and other broken items. Whether you’re a skilled technician, or a newbie eager to learn, we all work together and learn new things at our repair cafes!
Being a volunteer with us at BitFIXit is a great way to make use of a few hours of your free time. You get to learn how to fix and upgrade computers, clear junk & viruses, and refurbish computers. These skills and knowledge can then be passed on to other people. Don’t have your own set of tools? No problem! We provide our own tools that you can use at our repair cafes.
If you’re from other towns and cities, then we welcome you, too! We especially welcome volunteers who don’t fit the stereotype of ‘a computer geek’. We can reimburse travel, childcare and lunch costs from our donations.
If you want to volunteer with us, check out our volunteer job description here and please drop by at our repair cafes! We run our workshops at Abbeyfield Park House every Saturday from 10am until 4pm.
